Monday, 05 September 2011
Federal Member for Curtin, Julie Bishop, is calling on budding Perth photographic artists to submit photographs for the 2012 Curtin Calendar.First published in 2006 the Curtin Calendar depicts local people and places from around the federal electorate of Curtin.
This year, Ms Bishop would like to use the calendar to exhibit the artistic talents of the people of Western Australia as well as the diverse nature of the Curtin electorate.
“The Curtin Calendar is a local publication showcasing scenes and locations throughout the electorate of Curtin which I produce each year for my constituents,” Ms Bishop said.
“There are hundreds of artistically talented Western Australians and I hope to use this year’s calendar to promote the work of local artists and students.”
The images in the 2012 Curtin Calendar will be selected by Ms Bishop’s office and winning entries will be acknowledged in the calendar and the forthcoming Curtin Correspondence newsletter.
Entries for the calendar must be a high resolution JPEG image, at least 3MB at 300dpi suitable for print reproduction.
