Curtin choir performs exclusively for the Sundowner Centre

Churchlands Senior High School’s famous Chamber Maids dazzled residents of Amana Living’s Sundowner Centre in Cottesloe last Friday as they performed hits from their up coming overseas tour.

The Chamber Maids are a part of the 170 strong Churchlands Senior High School choir travelling to Canada and the United States to perform at a diverse range of locations including with local student choirs.

Federal Member for Curtin Julie Bishop arranged for the students to perform at the Sundowner Centre and was in attendance to farewell the students and reaffirm her strong support of senior Curtin residents.

“Senior Australians play a significant role in our community and it is important we encourage younger generations to recognise and appreciate the considerable contribution they make,” Julie Bishop said.

“I was delighted to see students from Churchlands Senior High School make the time to perform for the residents of the Sundowner Centre and talk about their overseas tour over afternoon tea.”
